Founded by an MIT Alumnus who worked in Silicon Valley, Coding Lab’s MIT-inspired curriculum challenges your child to excel with fun and engaging, high quality hands-on courses taught by dedicated teachers.
With small class sizes and well-designed programmes for Preschool, Primary School and Secondary School students, children will be assured of an optimal learning experience set in a rustic, yet tech-immersive, boardroom-style environment which replicates a home away from home.
Developed by a team of global tech-industry experts based in New York, Japan and Singapore, their highly-rated workshops expound on the MOE curriculum and challenge students to think logically and mathematically, with a strong emphasis on inquiry-based learning, open-ended instruction, and the application of key mathematical concepts learnt in school.
From learning the concept of loops via a unique dramatisation of “Five Little Monkeys”, to making their very own plant harp, to crafting out detective stories from scratch using “If” and “Then” conditionals, there’s never a dull moment in any class with Coding Lab.
Children will first be taught how to create their own games, apps and stories using drag and drop block-based programming. Eventually, they will move on to real-world programming languages and start to understand concepts such as “Big Data, Data Analytics and the Internet of Things”. (Don’t worry if you don’t know what this means, your little tech-leader will be able to explain it once they’ve gone through their programme!)
Coding Lab offers classes for ages four to 16, in Japan, Perth and Singapore.
